We value our patients as individuals and continually strive to deliver the highest standards of care to ensure that each person's needs are met. We invite you to share in the treatment planning for your child so that we will have all the information necessary to decide what will best suit your child's needs.  We welcome your input.

Office Hours & Appointments

This office is open on the following schedule:

Monday through Friday  8:00 - 5:00 pm
Selected Saturdays  8:00 - 3:30 pm
Summer Hours  8:00 - 3:30 pm

The office is closed on Sundays and major holidays. We provide 24 hour coverage for emergencies. We try to see all patients on an appointment basis and request that you call in advance so that we can reserve a time for you. Our office telephone number is (508) 653-2417. We make every effort to meet all time commitments and request that you extend the same courtesy to us. Because this is a Pediatric dental office in addition to orthodontics for children and adults, on occasion, a situation may arise that will demand more of our time, and so we may run a little behind schedule. Please be assured that your child will receive the utmost care regardless of time constraints. Your patience will be appreciated.

We schedule appointments for children under six years old in the morning for two reasons. First, we have found that young children respond much more favorably when they are well rested. Secondly, we allow parents to accompany their child into the operatory during morning visits. Patients seen in the afternoon are usually older, to accommodate school schedules. For your younger child's benefit, please keep this in mind when scheduling appointments.

If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. We ask that you give us 24 hours notice.  A failed appointment fee will only be assessed when no notice is given to the office.

Emergency Coverage

We recognize that an emergency may arise that will require immediate care. We will do our best to respond promptly. Call us as early in the day as possible. If we receive a call at 8 a.m., we will be able to see your child early that morning.  For after-hour emergencies, call us at (508) 653-2417 and you will be told how to reach the dentist on call.

Infection Control

We strive to be aware of and to utilize the most effective infection control measures available. We maximize use of disposable materials and autoclave all of our instruments.  We employ an independent compliance group who reviews our procedures on an ongoing basis and informs us of any new regulations. As always, we welcome your questions regarding any of our procedures, but especially the area of infection control, as we are proud of our level of compliance.

Financial Arrangements and Insurance

We are a "fee for service" dental practice. We thank you for paying for treatment on the day that services are rendered to you.  If you are covered by Delta Dental Plan of Massachusetts (Premier Plan only) or Blue Cross/Blue Shield Massachusetts, we will file an insurance claim for payment directly to us. For all other insurance coverage, we ask you pay us at the time of service. We will then file a claim to your insurance for reimbursement to you.

If you have any questions, please speak with our Billing Manager on your visit or call (508) 655-0818.

Arrangements Concerning Fillings

If your child is diagnosed with a cavity the material used for a filling will be either resin (tooth colored) or amalgam (silver). We charge the same for an amalgam and a resin filling, however your insurance company may not pay for a resin filling at the same level as amalgam or in some cases will not pay at all for resin fillings. Resin fillings are not a covered expense for Delta Dental Plan and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Even if your insurance plan will pay for the resin filling at the amalgam rate, there will still be a significant co-payment due to contractual constraints imposed upon us. This co-payment is the member’s responsibility. All plans are different and it is very important, if finances are a concern, to file a pretreatment estimate with your insurance. We will be happy to do that for you at your request. A phone call to your insurance may not give you an accurate answer.  (Click here for more detail concerning Fillings.)

Arrangements Concerning Nitrous Oxide

Administration of nitrous oxide is not a covered service by any insurance company. Thank you for paying for this procedure on the date of service.   (Click here for more detail concerning Nitrous Oxide.)
